The late King Hussein was born eighty five years ago today. As time goes by, rather than his memory diminishing, it continues to glow. I have opted to mark today, not with a photo depicting some aspect of his incredible reign as enlightened leader or statesman of international stature, nor one that captures the unforgettable qualities that embodied him as a human being. Captured instead is King Hussein my beloved brother as a child, with our father King Talal; in that moment oblivious to all that awaited him. While we today continue to draw from King Hussein’s example of service and sacrifice, we remember too with inherent thankfulness, his love for his people and for people everywhere KingHussein Jordan
